Draft pending legal review

This text describes how ViewTracker works today but has not yet been reviewed by legal counsel. Items in [brackets] are still to be filled in.

1. Disconnect a connected account

This removes the data ViewTracker received from TikTok, Instagram, YouTube or Facebook when the account was connected for publishing. Workspace owners and admins can do it at any time:

  • Sign in to ViewTracker and open Publish → Accounts.
  • Click Disconnect next to the account or Facebook Page.
  • The account's access and refresh tokens and its profile details (account ID, username, name, profile picture and profile links) are deleted immediately. Posts scheduled to that account that have not started are cancelled.
  • ViewTracker also asks TikTok, YouTube (Google) or Facebook to revoke its access there. If another connected account still uses the same login, for example another Facebook Page you shared through it, that access stays until the last one is disconnected. Instagram does not let apps revoke their own access, so remove ViewTracker there as described below. If a platform does not confirm the revoke, ViewTracker tells you so you can remove it yourself.
  • Uploaded videos are deleted from storage seven days after every post that uses them has finished, and files that were never posted are deleted after 90 days.
  • Posts that were already published stay on the platform. Delete them in TikTok, Instagram, YouTube or Facebook if you want them gone.

2. Revoke access in the platform's settings

You can also remove ViewTracker from the platform itself, which is the only way on Instagram. This stops ViewTracker from using the connection right away. Please disconnect the account in ViewTracker as well, or write to us, so the stored tokens are deleted too.

3. Delete a workspace

Workspace owners can delete a workspace from Settings after cancelling its subscription. This deletes its tracked videos and accounts with their metric history, creators, campaigns, reports, alerts, API keys, webhooks, integrations, connected publishing accounts with their tokens, and its publishing history. Uploaded videos still in storage are deleted automatically within 90 days.

4. Request full account deletion

To delete your ViewTracker account and everything linked to it, email hello@viewtracker.ai from the email address you sign in with, with the subject “Delete my account”. Tell us which workspaces it concerns if you belong to more than one. You don't need to be signed in.

We confirm by email once the deletion is complete, within 30 days. We keep billing records for as long as tax and accounting law requires, and records of our own staff actions without the link to the deleted account. Database recovery points expire within 30 days, after which the deleted data is gone from our backups too.

5. If you don't have a ViewTracker account

If your public videos are tracked by a ViewTracker customer, or a post was published to your account through a workspace you don't control, write to hello@viewtracker.ai with the links or account concerned. We will delete the data or pass your request to the workspace that added it, and reply within 30 days.

6. Questions

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how long we keep it. For anything else, write to hello@viewtracker.ai.
